Its Chinese name of Lingzhi means “spiritual potency” while its Japanese name, Reishi, is translated as the “King of Herbs“. The Ganoderma is a supremely important mushroom thanks to its extensive use in traditional Asian medicine. For thousands of years, Ganoderma Lucidum has been recognised by practitioners as one of the highest ranked of all the herbs.
